Alicerçada na sua trajetória acadêmica e de militância na área de Tráfico de Pessoas e Mobilidade Humana, no âmbito transnacional, a autora professora doutora Waldimeiry Corrêa da Silva, no seu livro publicado em 2018, intitulado “Regime Internacional de Enfrentamento ao Tráfico de Pessoas: Avanços e desafios para a proteção dos direitos humanos”, em 376 páginas, sistematiza a evolução histórica, conceitual, doutrinária, jurisprudencial e política que conformam a epistemologia sobre o Enfrentamento ao Tráfico de Pessoas (ETP). Porém, denota certa complexidade no seu enfrentamento, uma vez que esta questão deve incorporar as perspectivas de política criminal, de gênero, de direitos humanos, de moral, migratória, de ordem pública, de garantia de trabalho digno e respeito aos direitos fundamentais.
