A quinta conferência de negociação do futuro Tratado sobre a conservação e o uso sustentável da biodiversidade marinha em áreas além da jurisdição (BBNJ) ocorreu entre os dias 15 e 26 de agosto de 2022, na sede das Nações Unidas, em Nova York. A sessão não se finalizou com a conclusão do instrumento, visto que ainda persistem divergências entre as delegações. Mesmo sem chegar ao final da redação do Tratado, houve consideráveis progressos em todos os grandes temas em negociação: recursos genéticos marinhos (MGRs) e repartição de benefícios (ABS); medidas de manejo baseadas em áreas (ABMT) e áreas marinhas protegidas (MPAs); avaliação de impactos ambientais (EIA); capacitação e transferência de tecnologias marinhas (CBTMT); e assuntos transversais (CCIs).Downloads
