The priority conferred to Brazilian relations with its South America partners and with the regionalist foreign policy portrays the universalism adopted as a principle in foreign affairs. In this context, this policy has passed through a renaissance after the democratization of the region and also because of the change concerning the development paradigm in international relations – Normal State and Logistic State. Furthermore, the high level of globalization required the State a new position in the international scenario, in which South America integration has come up to balance its effect and to adopt Brazilian insertion in the international system.Downloads
