Public policy and socio-cultural diversity

Abstract

In a scenery of insufficiency on implementation of public policies toward to attainment of rights of second and third generations (dimensions) in Brazil, we made this article, that aims to analyze the viability of the Government to promote the realization of socio-cultural diversity as a historical defining feature of Brazilian society, through the formulation and implementation of public policies in that way. Commonly thought from its economic target, coordinated government action should not be limited to this perspective, but also consider social, environmental, cultural and political rights, all essential for the challenge of evolving human rights in their different generations and its various owners, whether minorities or majority. For that, we made an approach about the second and third rights, about the public policies, and about the diversity as a constitutional imposition, all to affirm the necessity of promote the socio-cultural differences in political terms.
