In this study we used the scientific method, starting from the problem analysis and proposed solutions. The results confirmed the need for some reforms in the Brazilian legislation on money laundering, to suit it to the modern international trends and tendencies, showing how the proposed elimination of the list of predicate offenses and extend the list of persons subject to duties imposed by Law 9613/98. The work is original and contributes to a better understanding of the issue by the academic community and society in general, beyond the fact of the proposals outlined contribute to greater effectiveness in combating economic crime and organized, thereby reducing crime in general.References
